While Donald Trump relaxes at the end of a year in which nothing interesting happened at all, he’s spent some (more) time golfing down at his Mar-A-Lago resort. But it seems he’s trying his best to get a little privacy from the prying eyes of the media.
Over the last few days, media outlets have managed to catch some janky footage shot through some trees of Trump taking a similarly janky swing and, really, everything about Trump and 2017 has been janky.
When the press showed up Wednesday to try to catch the Commander-in-Tweet back on the course, there was a mysterious white truck that wound up conveniently blocking the media’s view of the president’s golf game.
Trump’s time on the golf course has certainly raised eyebrows, not just for the total time he’s spent at his own golf clubs since taking office, but for doing so after he spent time lambasting then-president Barack Obama for doing the same.
Pres. Trump has arrived at his south Florida golf club again this morning, marking his 86th day at a Trump golf property, and his 112th day at a Trump property since taking office. https://t.co/lDLsKoQdnL pic.twitter.com/9NtDIOrAXa

We pay for Obama’s travel so he can fundraise millions so Democrats can run on lies. Then we pay for his golf.

If there’s any relief to be held from today’s sideshow, it’s that it appears as if the Secret Service wasn’t the organization that paid for the white truck. In fact, no one knows who is responsible for the vehicle.
The Secret Service has already paid out tens of thousands of dollars for golf cart rentals during Trump’s first year in office, including around $7,500 over Thanksgiving weekend, which is almost as frustratingly hilarious as Trump’s golf score claims.
