‘Stormy Daniels’ has been a popular search trend on Google since the Wall Street Journalbroke the story of her alleged affair with Donald Trump. And, yes, the adult film star has also been a trending search in porn.
The porn platform xHamster reports there was a big spike in searches for Daniels when her interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes aired Sunday night. As she discussed the details of the alleged affair, users were apparently doing some of their own research.
When Donald Trump won the Republican nomination, Daniels says she started getting calls again with offers to tell her story. And she got one offer not to tell her story. xHamster saw the most dramatic spike in traffic from Washington, DC, where it increased 7 percent during the interview. It was up as much as 5 percent nationwide during the interview — but that statistic may be underestimated the surge since it was broadcasted at different times in different states.
Although xHamster traffic from women fell by 16 percent, men searched for Stormy Daniels throughout her entire interview.
Of course, this isn’t at all unusual. People in the news often inspire upticks in porn searches. For instance, after her interview on CNN about her alleged affair with Donald Trump, Pornhub searches for former Playboy model Karen McDougal skyrocketed. Searches for Aubrey O’Day, who allegedly had an affair with Donald Trump Jr., also spiked after a feature in Page Six.
Technically I didn’t sleep with the POTUS 12 years ago. There was no sleeping (hehe) and he was just a goofy reality TV star. But I digress…People DO care that he lied about it, had me bullied, broke laws to cover it up, etc. And PS…I am NOT going anywhere. xoxoxo https://t.co/Js9sEnanIk

Still, Stormy reigns supreme. According to xHamster, she is the site’s most searched term in 2018.
